A 4-month-old infant with fever and skin lesions (page 2/3)

     Although the fever gradually subsided after 7 days of parenteral cloxacillin, she developed another episode of high fever with subcutaneous nodules at head, chest wall and neck (as seen in below figures).

After incission and drainage the patient recovered. Pus grew few Staphylococcus aureus.
 
This case demonstrated that staphylococcal bacteremia can dissseminated to many organs.
